Disney's Pandora

Disney's Animal Kingdom recently opened a new area in the park called Pandora, based on the movie Avatar, directed by James Cameron.

Artificial plants, trees, and recorded sounds of Pandora have been combined with nature from Earth to create an amazing landscape. Pathways have prints from Pandoran wildlife, and weavings from the Omaticaya are displayed. Some include the Shaman of Songs and an Ikran. 

And what would a Disney Park be without rides?

A ride along Pandora's main river in a boat called the"Na'vi River Journey" is a display of wildlife in Pandora.

Animal Kingdom's new "Flight of Passage" is a simulator, very similar to Soarin' or Star Tours. You can connect with a banshee and ride on it, seeing the beauty of Pandora, and experience some of its dangers, too.

Satu'li Canteen and Pongu Pongu sell food and beverages that look as if they came straight from the moon of Pandora. Windtraders gives you the chance to choose your very own banshee and take it home, including many other beautiful souvenirs such as levitating unobtanium and Na'vi sculptures.
